X2 Wolverine’s Revenge * Gameplay [XBOX]

X2: Wolverine’s Revenge (released as X-Men 2: Wolverine’s Revenge in Europe and Australia; originally known as X-Men: Wolverine’s Revenge during E3 2002) is an action beat’em up video game based on Marvel Comics character Wolverine, a member of the mutant team X-Men, developed for the PlayStation 2 by British game developer GenePool Software and Warthog Games and published by Activision, with GameCube and Xbox versions developed solely by GenePool and ported to Windows by LTI Gray Matter. It was released on April 15, 2003, to coincide with the release of the film X2: X-Men United, which itself is a sequel to the 2000 film X-Men. The Game Boy Advance version developed by Vicarious Visions was re-released on a Twin Pack cartridge and bundled with Spider-Man: Mysterio’s Menace in 2005.

In X2: Wolverine’s Revenge, the player helps Wolverine fight his way past the heavily guarded areas of the Weapon X Facility to piece together fragmented clues to Wolverine’s murky past and to save his life. Wolverine has 48 hours to find an antidote to the deadly Shiva Virus circulating in his bloodstream and the clues point to the Weapon X facility, the Canadian fortress where he had his skeletal structure fused with adamantium.

Played on ORIGINAL CONSOLE & Upscaled with Framemeister/OSSC if old Gen Console.

In today’s episode of quick compare we take a look at the gen 6 classic X-Men Legends! X-Men legends was a really great co-op game and I had a blast with it back in the day. When I revisit the game I always stick to the original Xbox version due to it having far better functionality then that found on the PlayStation 2 or GameCube. But todays request, by Stonerdemon, was for X-Men Legends PlayStation 2 vs GameCube! What fascinating results this one turned up! Enjoy this weeks episode of Quick Compare and as always if you would like to see a game compared, list it in the comments below!
